Crooked Tree

Honorable Mention

Photographer's Statement:

This is a tree named “the crooked tree,” at the top of my local cross country ski trails. I am a racer for the local team, and since Covid we aren’t able to get coaches for training. In the evenings I would ski on my own, thinking, breathing, living. This tree, at the summit of the trail system, symbolizes my health, both mentally and physically. Also, it reminds me: although we all may be a bit crooked and imperfect, that should never stand in our way of experiencing life.
