Photographer's Statement:

Within the past few years, I have found myself finding excuses to be outside more, and always wanting to be in the woods. Whether it’s camping, hiking, dirt biking, or sports, I never get tired of being in the forests. It is like therapy, in a way, being in the woods, no matter what you are doing. It makes me feel calm  and happy, and I always feel much more prepared for the week to come. This photo was taken on a dirt bike ride, where we had to hike into the view point. On this cliff edge, you can see miles and miles of trees and mountains. Running in between, you can see the Coeur d’alene river. It was an amazing day, spent in the mountains with family.
