Spring in the City
Photographer's Statement:
In Idaho’s forests, spring and summer are seasons full of life and growth. As the weather warms up trees grow new leaves and flowers bloom as the hot months of May, June and July roll closer. Birds sing, insects buzz, and the forest is filled with color and sound. These warmer months are important for plant growth, animal movement, and the overall health of the forest. Spring and summer are when the forest is most alive and full of energy. My photo captures one of the most widely recognized symbols of spring, pink blossoms, in an obviously urban landscape. It represents that in Idaho, the seasons transcend innovation and allow their beauty to integrate into our occasionally dull cityscapes.
